Hello there!
Welcome to The Boot Chef's (informal) credit account application. We thought you might appreciate a change of pace from the regular boring corporate emails, so we hope you enjoy learning more about The Boot Chef through this custom set up page on our brand new website (adidas eyes only please!)
The Boot Chef is (for now) an online only football store specialising in elite tier football boots. We first established ourselves in 2021 as an Instagram page and have since become the most successful football boot reseller in Australia. With this goal achieved, we've turned our attention to the retail space, and it's our mission to become one of the biggest retailers in the Aussie football scene.
Obtaining a wholesale trading account with Adidas will be a momentous step in making this a reality.
Through the adjacent tabs, I'll outline why you should consider The Boot Chef as the newest dealer of adidas football boots in Australia.
The Boot Chef is a registered business operating as a sole trader under ABN: 41 198 220 687. We plan to restructure into a Proprietary Limited Company in the near future.
We currently stock a number of brands in our store which include:
Nike, Adidas, Mizuno, Puma, New Balance and Under Armour.
Of these brands, we have an established wholesale trading account with Mizuno Oceania. For the others, we find other avenues to source products outside the traditional wholesale route. Though this is not ideal, it is a means which will allow The Boot Chef to cultivate a reputation and build capital; until which time we can obtain wholesale accounts with these brands.
The cultural impact and value of nostalgia is plain to see in the world of football boots; in fact, it's the unique selling point that has allowed The Boot Chef to grow so quickly over the past 3 years. This is also evidenced by adidas' latest releases of the Predator FT and the F50 Silo. They have both seen monumental success built on the foundation of the past.
We understand the concerns adidas may have regarding the sale of classic boots, and would like to discuss them.
Reputation of Brand Quality on Aged Products
With the release of our new website, we strictly sell brand new products. As products age, some materials can become less durable. If older model football boots are worn, they may wear faster than original intended when they were first released. We understand adidas may have concern with a reputable retailer selling pairs that may be not be usable as they were initially intended.
We have a clear policy for warranty and defective product claims which allows us to sell classic football boots whilst still upholding our consumer law obligations. As for current models, we offer warranty on adidas products despite not having access via the traditional wholesale route. This is a testament to our dedication toward building a reputation as a reliable, trusted seller.
The sale of classic and deadstock adidas pairs will continue to take place in the resale community, so we implore you to consider allowing a trusted, reputable seller to continue this practice alongside the sale of current model football boots.
End User Missing Out on Limited Releases
As a general policy, we do not purchase new limited releases at RRP to instantly resell for a quick profit. This is the side of reselling we think is somewhat morally objectionable and takes away from the end user. Our prerogative is to sell classic adidas pairs to collectors.
Adidas can become a priority brand for The Boot Chef. We've operated as a resale business over the last few years, so we're prepared to commit to those brands who make wholesale pricing available to us to help our eventual transition into a retail store.
I initially spent some time trying to describe how Adidas content might look on The Boot Chef website... but words are boring and pictures are fun. Take a tour of this page to see how we would promote adidas on our website.
Minimum Spend
We’re excited to learn the minimum spend is $50,000 P/A. We have absolute confidence we can meet this minimum based on our experience trading solely online. In the first four months of the 2024 calendar year, we have done $45,000 AUD in gross revenue from adidas football boots alone.
We love the direction adidas is taking and have been impressed with product development and marketing, especially for the releases of the Predator Elite and F50. This will make meeting the minimum spend all the more easy for us with the increased popularity of adidas in this time.
Furthermore, we plan to open a bricks and mortar store in Adelaide, SA. We expect our monthly purchases with our brand partners to increase significantly when this becomes a reality. I understand reservations about trading with a store currently trading solely online; but obtaining an account with adidas even before establishing our shopfront is a priority for us.
We want to stock:
adidas Football Boots
Wholesale access to Elite tier adidas football boots will be a crucial step for our business to move forward. The Boot Chef champions top end boots for the highest level comfort and performance. Though our niche audience is inclined toward Elite tier pairs, we will also be looking to stock some takedown football boots after some recent success in trialling mid-tier adidas boots.
We also want to stock:
Football, Shirts/Jerseys, Socks, Shinpads and Footballs
The Boot Chef is going to be a force in the football retail landscape. In 3 short years, we became the biggest player in the reseller market and have sold over $600,000 AUD worth of football boots. If I can sell boots like this from my parents spare bedroom whilst putting myself through a full time university degree and working other jobs, just imagine how I’d do with more time, a dedicated team of passionate employees and a bricks and mortar store.
We want to bring football culture back to Adelaide just like Ultra Football have done in Melbourne and Sydney. We will not be another run of the mill sports retail store who fail to keep up with the times despite having the very best products at their disposal.
Please do not hesitate to contact at any time. You can do so via email or phone at the details below:

Or ideally, I’d love the opportunity to meet in person or via zoom to alleviate any concerns and answer any questions you may have. The
Boot Chef operates out of Adelaide, South Australia but I’d be happy to travel interstate to meet a representative.
Thanks for taking the time to read our proposal. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
