TBC x Skechers
Hi Izzy/whom it may concern!
Welcome to The Boot Chef's (informal) credit account application. We thought you might appreciate a change of pace from the regular boring corporate procedure, so we hope you enjoy learning more about The Boot Chef through this custom set up page on our brand new website (Skechers eyes only please!)
Click through the adjacent tabs, I hope it sufficiently answers any questions outlined in the email.
The Boot Chef currently sells football boots from:
Nike, Adidas, Mizuno, Puma, New Balance and Under Armour
We have an established credit account with Mizuno Oceania. As for the other brands, we find other avenues to acquire stock to sell. This is a temporary means we must take, until such time we can establish trading accounts with these brands.
Skechers can become a priority brand for The Boot Chef. We've operated as a resale business over the last few years, so we're prepared to commit to those brands who make wholesale pricing available to us to help our eventual transition into a retail store.
Over a short few months trading with Mizuno, we've built a culture with our audience promoting their boots as a premium product. We've seen a strong response in sales despite only selling previously released stock so far.
I initially spent some time writing out a lengthy email trying to describe how Skechers content might look on The Boot Chef website... but words are boring and pictures are fun. Take a tour of this page to see how Skechers might be included in our website (please note the products are for example purposes only).
Skechers is very new to football boots in Australia, so it is difficult to estimate a monthly spend without a more informed understanding of their popularity. That said, we may expect an annual spend of approximately $15-25K AUD (assuming a wholesale discount of ≈ 55%). This estimate is based on assuming Skechers football's relative popularity with other established brands. Our current revenue p/a sits at around $250K AUD, consisting mostly of Nike, Adidas and Mizuno football boots.
Alongside our commitment to regular spending, The Boot Chef can provide valuable social media exposure. Especially so via our Instagram account '@thebootchef'. Our audience demands elite tier, high quality products. We recently conducted a poll asking "Would you ever buy a pair (of Skechers football boots) from The Boot Chef". See the results in the image below.
Furthermore, we eventually plan to open a bricks and mortar store in Adelaide. We expect our monthly purchases with our brand partners to increase significantly when this becomes a reality. I understand reservations about trading with a store currently trading solely online; but obtaining an account with Skechers even before establishing our shopfront is a priority. It will allow us to give our customers a taste for your product, and help us to continue building our stellar reputation.
The Boot Chef is going to be a force in the football retail landscape. In 3 short years, The Boot Chef became the biggest player in the reseller market with over $600,000 AUD in sales... all whilst studying a bachelor of laws full time and working a part time job. I can assure you, we will not be just another average soccer retail store that can't get with the times.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our website and read through the proposal! I hope you've learnt a bit about The Boot Chef today and consider trading with us. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Or I'd love to arrange an in person meeting. We're located in Adelaide but would be more than willing to travel interstate for a meeting.
