After nine releases of Mercurial Dreamspeed (MDS), Nike have released their second iteration of the new Cosmic Speed Series. Unlike other releases in Nike's exclusive Mercurial drops, each of the Mercurial Superfly and Mercurial Vapor have received their very own colourway reminiscent of Mercurial Vapor IX colourways first released over 10 years ago in 2013.
The new Cosmic Speed Vapor 16 follows the release colourway Sunset/Volt/Crimson/Black of the Vapor IX in a stunning design finished with an iridescent chrome shine on the upper.
The Superfly takes the Vapor 9's tribute to R9's original 1998 Mercurial and pairs it with the Superfly's Iconic Dynamic Fit collar and another iridescent finish across the whole boot.
With a pair of each being added to The Boot Chef Football's Archive Collection, we've only got a few pairs left available. An absolute must have for any serious football boot collector.
Worn by the new faces of Nike Football such as Vini Jr, Lauren James and Kylian Mbappe. What do you think we'll see next in the Cosmic Speed series? We want to see more takes on classic Mercurial colourways, specific for each of the Superfly and Vapor.
