Internally, the Speed Cage is constructed from a thin, strong material that secures the foot to the outsole without adding unnecessary weight. After hundreds of athlete-wear tests, Nike developed the optimal fit for the Vapor 15, resulting in a more contoured toe box and improved lockdown in the heel. Completing the design, the new Tri-Star stud pattern allows players to move laterally for faster play in all directions.

The fixed stud configuration delivers responsive acceleration, reliable traction, and even pressure distribution across the foot for improved comfort. FG soleplates are the most widely used worldwide, particularly in regions that play on natural grass from spring through autumn. These boots are not suitable for artificial (AG) surfaces, as the soleplate is not engineered for the increased friction. Use on AG pitches may result in accelerated wear and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
